If you had a furnace damaged by the flooding between September 9 - 26, you should contact FEMA, even if you have already made repairs or purchased replacement. FEMA can also help with wells and septic systems impacted by the disaster. For more information, please view the press release here.

Due to the Presidential Disaster Declaration, the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program is available to anyone who was affected by the recent flood. Lake County is a sponsor for the resident to be able to apply. For more information, please call Shelli Gust at the Commission Office at 605-256-7630.
PUBLIC SNOW REMOVAL NOTICE

NOTICE: An individual who plows snow from a driveway onto a public road, or plows snow from a driveway across a public road piling it in the ditch, may be in violation of a SD law that prohibits dumping on or within highway right-of-ways. Intentional dumping on a highway right-of-way is a Class 1 misdemeanor. This may also be a violation of a SD law that prohibits the destruction of a highway grade or ditch, which is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
