GENERAL INFORMATION
Lake County Sheriff's Office offers fingerprinting services for the general public who are required to submit them for job application, licensing, enhanced pistol permit etc., as well as pre-employment fingerprinting for Lake County.

An appointment is necessary to have your fingerprints taken. Please call (605) 256-7615 to schedule an appointment.

Persons requesting fingerprinting services will be required to provide identification as a method of verifying an individual's identity. Copies, photographs, or expired forms of identification will not be accepted.

If you are being fingerprinted for an Enhanced Pistol Permit, new or renewal, and have not already submitted your firearms course certificate online, you will also need to bring the certificate from the firearms course that you have completed.

Most fingerprints are collected using a computer-based printing software that does not require ink. Please do not write on any print cards as the software prints the information in the boxes appropriately.

FEES
The cost to the public is $10.00/card. Payment of cash or card is accepted. If paying with a card, there is a service fee of $2.00.

HOURS
We offer fingerprinting by appointment on the following days: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
