  • Survivors Pension
  • VA Civilian Health and Medical Program (CHAMPVA)
  • VA benefits and services
  • Dependents & Survivors Education and Training
  • Burial and Memorial Benefits
  • South Dakota Veterans Bonus Program


You may be eligible for VA benefits if you are:

  • a veteran
  • a veteran's dependent
  • a surviving spouse, child or parent of a deceased veteran
  • an active duty military service member
  • a member of the Reserve or National Guard

Dignity License Plates Available July 1

Qualifying South Dakotans may apply for Dignity plates at the Treasurer's Office beginning on July 1st. Cost is $10 plus a $5 mailing fee. View this Press Release for additional information.
