NOTICE OF DEADLINE FOR FILING NOMINATING PETITIONS FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION AND FOR FILING INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE PETITIONS

PUBLIC NOTICES - FLOOD RELIEF/RECOVERY

PRESENTATION FROM THE PUBLIC MEETING ON THE FEMA HMGP PROGRAM FOR PROPERTY ACQUISITION OR RELOCATION - 12/16/19 AT 7:00 P.M., CITY COMMISSION ROOM - Lake County and the City of Madison held a meeting at 7 p.m. on 12/16/19 at the City Commission Room. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information regarding the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) related to the acquisition or relocation of structures damaged by flooding events in 2019 or had been flooded repeatedly in the past. FEMA ASSISTANCE FOR FURNACES, WELLS, AND SEPTIC SYSTEMS - If you had a furnace damaged by the flooding between September 9 - 26, you should contact FEMA, even if you have already made repairs or purchased replacement. FEMA can also help with wells and septic systems impacted by the disaster.

FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER CLOSED

The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in Madison closed permanently as of 1/17/2020. The registration deadline for homeowners and renters to receive FEMA assistance is 1/31/2020. To register, please call and or register online:
